Nintendo Wii U Announced

The Nintendo Wii U, the sequel to the popular video game console known as the Nintendo Wii, has just been announced by the Nintendo Press. It boasts all the new features that have long been rumored, such as the new Wii U controller that has a microphone, gyroscope, accelerometer, dual analog controls, a front facing camera(!!!), and a touchscreen. New features also include a whole new redesign of the console as well as the inside's hardware. The graphics will be the most powerful of all video game consoles by the time it hits markets. That means it's going HD while staying compatible with older S-video and composite cables. Speaking about compatibility, it will fortunately be compatible with older controllers and software!
It's also becoming more compatible with your living room, as well, making your wide screen controllers available when your television is on, so you can do two things at once. It will also connect you to your friends in your social stream and video chat with them using your front-facing camera. Browsing the internet is a breeze with the touchscreen and stylus, and it's hopeful that Adobe Flash will be supported. All this on a remote? Well, Nintendo says yes, and the good stuff doesn't stop there. It is expected to release in late 2012, so stay tuned until then!
